Galarian Cursola SV050/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Shining Fates Shiny Vault is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 19 February 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. Galarian Cursola is SV050/122, in position 50 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is SV049 Galarian Corsola, and after it is SV051 Dedenne. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny.

Galarian Cursola is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Cursola (#864), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Galarian Corsola. In this catalog that name is Corsola (#222).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Cursola (#864) has 4 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2021. The earliest other card is Galarian Cursola 79/192 in Rebel Clash (2020). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Shiny. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 2 other cards of Cursola list a different HP.

Perish Body is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, flip a coin. If heads, the Attacking Pokémon is Knocked Out. The attack Corner lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its shell is overflowing with its heightened otherworldly energy. The ectoplasm serves as protection for this Pokémon's core spirit." The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Shining Fates Shiny Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cursola can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
