Eternatus VMAX SV122/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Shining Fates Shiny Vault is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 19 February 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. Eternatus VMAX is SV122/122, in position 122 of 122 on this checklist. The card before it is SV121 Eternatus V. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Eternatus VMAX is a VMAX Darkness Pokémon with 340 HP. In the Pokédex this is Eternatus (#890), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Eternatus V. In this catalog that name is Eternatus (#890).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Eternatus (#890) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2025. The earliest other card is Eternatus V SWSH044/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card is named Eternatus V, while this one is Eternatus VMAX. That card lists 220 HP, and this one lists 340 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Secret. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 8 other cards of Eternatus list a different HP.

Eternal Zone is listed as Ability. If all of your Pokémon in play are Darkness type, you can have up to 8 Pokémon on your Bench, and you can't put non-Darkness Pokémon into play. (If this Ability stops working, discard Pokémon from your Bench until you have 5.) The attack Dread End lists 30× damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. This attack does 30 damage for each of your Darkness Pokémon in play. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Shining Fates Shiny Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Eternatus can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Giant Pokémon and VMAX cards. I still need this card.
