Sandaconda V 175/198 · Chilling Reign

Sandaconda is Pokédex #844, generation 8 (Galar). Sandaconda V is a Basic V Fighting Pokémon with 220 HP.

Sandaconda V sits at 175/198 in Chilling Reign, position 175 of 233. Before it is 174 Galarian Zapdos V, and after it is 176 Galarian Moltres V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 18 June 2021. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 233 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Wall of Sand is listed as Ability. This Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Land Crush lists 140 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Sandaconda (#844) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2025. The earliest other card is Sandaconda 109/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). That card is named Sandaconda, while this one is Sandaconda V. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Ultra. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 8 other cards of Sandaconda list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Tsuji. I count 81 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Chilling Reign set binder is where a full Chilling Reign set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sandaconda can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
