Arctovish V 176/203 · Evolving Skies

Arctovish is Pokédex #883, generation 8 (Galar). Arctovish V is a Basic V Water Pokémon with 220 HP.

Arctovish V sits at 176/203 in Evolving Skies, position 176 of 237. Before it is 175 Glaceon V, and after it is 177 Jolteon V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 27 August 2021. The printed size is 203. This checklist is longer, at 237 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Ancient Freeze lists 80 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is a Pokémon V or a Pokémon-GX, it can't attack during your opponent's next turn. Giga Impact is another attack lists 220 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. During your next turn, this Pokémon can't attack. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Arctovish (#883) has 3 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2021. The earliest other card is Arctovish 54/189 in Darkness Ablaze (2020). That card is named Arctovish, while this one is Arctovish V. That card lists 150 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Ultra. Shin Nagasawa illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 2 other cards of Arctovish list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Evolving Skies set binder is where a full Evolving Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Arctovish can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Fossil Pokémon. I still need this card.
