Smeargle is Pokédex #235, generation 2 (Johto). Smeargle is a Basic Fusion Strike Colorless Pokémon with 70 HP.

Smeargle sits at 209/264 in Fusion Strike, position 209 of 284. Before it is 208 Stantler, and after it is 210 Skitty. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 12 November 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Sketching Trash lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Put up to 2 Fusion Strike Trainer cards from your discard pile into your hand. Tail Whap is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It draws symbols with the fluid that oozes from the tip of its tail. Depending on the symbol, Smeargle fanatics will pay big money for them." The regulation mark is E.

Smeargle (#235) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Smeargle 32/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Common. Tomokazu Komiya illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Smeargle list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fusion Strike set binder is where a full Fusion Strike set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Smeargle can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
