Lucario 79/172 · Brilliant Stars

Lucario is Pokédex #448, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Lucario is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Riolu. In this catalog that name is Riolu (#447).

Lucario sits at 79/172 in Brilliant Stars, position 79 of 186. Before it is 78 Riolu, and after it is 80 Throh. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 25 February 2022. The printed size is 172. This checklist is longer, at 186 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Roaring Resolve is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may put 2 damage counters on this Pokémon. If you do, search your deck for a Fighting Energy card and attach it to this Pokémon. Then, shuffle your deck. The attack Aura Sphere Volley lists 10+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting. Discard all Fighting Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 60 more damage for each card you discarded in this way. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It controls waves known as auras, which are powerful enough to pulverize huge rocks. It uses these waves to take down its prey." The regulation mark is F.

Lucario (#448) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 39 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lucario 6/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and GIDORA illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 54 other cards of Lucario list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads GIDORA. I count 60 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Brilliant Stars set binder is where a full Brilliant Stars set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lucario can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Riolu and Lucario. I still need this card.
