Passimian SWSH115/307 · SWSH Black Star Promos

SWSH Black Star Promos is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on 15 November 2019. The printed size is 307. This checklist is longer, at 304 cards. Passimian is SWSH115/307, in position 115 of 304 on this checklist. Before it is SWSH114 Cresselia, and after it is SWSH116 Morpeko. The listed rarity is Promo.

Passimian is a Basic Rapid Strike Fighting Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Passimian (#766), generation 7 (Alola).

Teeziro illustrated this card. The same name is on 70 other cards in the catalog.

Passimian (#766) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2024. The earliest other card is Passimian 73/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 110 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Promo. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and Teeziro illustrated this one.

Throwing Coach is listed as Ability. Your Rapid Strike Pokémon's attacks do 30 more damage to your opponent's Benched Pokémon V and Benched Pokémon-GX (before applying Weakness and Resistance). You can't apply more than 1 Throwing Coach Ability at a time. The attack Fling lists no damage number. The cost is Fighting. This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Passimian live in groups of about 20, with each member performing an assigned role. Through cooperation, the group survives." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for SWSH Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the SWSH Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Passimian can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Rapid Strike. I still need this card.
