Grumpig 3/12 · EX Trainer Kit 2 Plusle

EX Trainer Kit 2 Plusle is a set in the EX series. It was released on 1 March 2006. The printed size is 12, and the checklist is the same length. Grumpig is 3/12, in position 3 of 12 on this checklist. Before it is 2 Electrike, and after it is 4 Meowth.

Grumpig is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Grumpig (#326), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Spoink. In this catalog that name is Spoink (#325).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Grumpig (#326) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Grumpig 6/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Midori Harada illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Grumpig list a different HP.

The attack Snap Tail lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Psypunch is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for EX Trainer Kit 2 Plusle, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the EX Trainer Kit 2 Plusle set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Grumpig can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
