Omastar BREAK 19/124 · Fates Collide

Omastar is Pokédex #139, generation 1 (Kanto). Omastar BREAK is a BREAK Water Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Omastar. In this catalog that name is Omastar (#139).

Omastar BREAK sits at 19/124 in Fates Collide, position 19 of 129. Before it is 18 Omastar, and after it is 20 Glaceon-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 2 May 2016. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 129 cards. The listed rarity is Rare BREAK.

Dangerous Tentacle is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon-EX with his or her Active Pokémon. The card text says: BREAK Evolution Rule: Omastar BREAK retains the attacks, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost of its previous Evolution.

Omastar (#139) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Omastar 40/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Omastar, while this one is Omastar BREAK. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare BREAK. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Omastar list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fates Collide set binder is where a full Fates Collide set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Omastar can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Fossil Pokémon and BREAK Evolution. I still need this card.
