Amoonguss 13/114 · Steam Siege

Steam Siege is a set in the XY series. It was released on 3 August 2016. The printed size is 114. This checklist is longer, at 116 cards. Amoonguss is 13/114, in position 13 of 116 on this checklist. Before it is 12 Foongus, and after it is 14 Larvesta. The listed rarity is Rare.

Amoonguss is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Amoonguss (#591), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Foongus. In this catalog that name is Foongus (#590).

Ken Sugimori illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,112 other cards in the catalog.

Amoonguss (#591) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Amoonguss 10/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Ken Sugimori illustrated this one. 6 other cards of Amoonguss list a different HP.

The attack Crazy Spore lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused and Poisoned. Strange Reaction is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is Confused, it is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It lures prey close by dancing and waving its arm caps, which resemble Poké Balls, in a swaying motion."

I keep a set binder for Steam Siege, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Steam Siege set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Amoonguss can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
