M Latios-EX 102/108 · Roaring Skies

Latios is Pokédex #381, generation 3 (Hoenn). M Latios-EX is a MEGA EX Dragon Pokémon with 220 HP. The card says it evolves from Latios-EX. In this catalog that name is Latios (#381).

M Latios-EX sits at 102/108 in Roaring Skies, position 104 of 112. Before it is 101 Latios-EX, and after it is 103 Hydreigon-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on 6 May 2015. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 112 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Sonic Ace lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Psychic, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokémon. This attack does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fairy ×2. The card text says: Mega Evolution rule: When 1 of your Pokémon becomes a Mega Evolution Pokémon, your turn ends. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Latios (#381) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Latios 15/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Latios, while this one is M Latios-EX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Latios list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Roaring Skies set binder is where a full Roaring Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Latios can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Latias and Latios. I still need this card.
