Zoroark 91/162 · BREAKthrough

BREAKthrough is a set in the XY series. It was released on 4 November 2015. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. Zoroark is 91/162, in position 91 of 165 on this checklist. Before it is 90 Zorua, and after it is 92 Zoroark BREAK. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Zoroark is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Zoroark (#571), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Zorua. In this catalog that name is Zorua (#570).

kawayoo illustrated this card. The same name is on 209 other cards in the catalog.

Zoroark (#571) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Zoroark BW09/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 32 other cards of Zoroark list a different HP.

Stand In is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is on your Bench, you may switch this Pokémon with your Active Pokémon. The attack Mind Jack lists 10+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Bonds between these Pokémon are very strong. It protects the safety of its pack by tricking its opponents."

I keep a set binder for BREAKthrough, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BREAKthrough set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zoroark can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
