Victini XY117/211 · XY Black Star Promos

XY Black Star Promos is a set in the XY series. It was released on 12 October 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Victini is XY117/211, in position 118 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is XY116 Arceus, and after it is XY118 Keldeo. The listed rarity is Promo.

Victini is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Victini (#494), generation 5 (Unova).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Victini (#494) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 28 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Victini BW32/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. 25 other cards of Victini list a different HP.

The attack Energy Assist lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Victory Ball is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. Discard a Fire Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When it shares the infinite energy it creates, that being's entire body will be overflowing with power."

I keep a set binder for XY Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Victini can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Atsuko Nishida cards, later series. I still need this card.
