Krookodile 137/86 · Black Bolt

Krookodile is Pokédex #553, generation 5 (Unova). Krookodile is a Stage 2 Darkness Pokémon with 170 HP. The card says it evolves from Krokorok. In this catalog that name is Krokorok (#552).

Krookodile sits at 137/86 in Black Bolt, position 136 of 171. Before it is 136 Krokorok, and after it is 138 Escavalier. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on 18 July 2025. The printed size is 86. This checklist is longer, at 171 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 86. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

The attack Tighten Up lists 60 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent discards 2 cards from their hand. Cursed Slug is another attack lists 120+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. If your opponent has 3 or fewer cards in their hand, this attack does 120 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile." The regulation mark is I.

Krookodile (#553) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Krookodile 65/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Illustration Rare. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Uninori illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Krookodile list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Uninori. I count 12 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Black Bolt set binder is where a full Black Bolt set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Krookodile can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
