Dark Golduck 37/82 · Team Rocket

Golduck is Pokédex #055, generation 1 (Kanto). Dark Golduck is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 23. The card says it evolves from Psyduck. In this catalog that name is Psyduck (#054).

Dark Golduck sits at 37/82 in Team Rocket, position 37 of 83. Before it is 36 Dark Gloom, and after it is 38 Dark Jolteon. The set belongs to the Base series. It was released on April 24, 2000. The printed size is 82. This checklist is longer, at 83 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Third Eye lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Discard 1 Energy card attached to Dark Golduck in order to draw up to 3 cards. Super Psy is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "When Psyducks evolve, their headaches disappear and they find themselves in possession of formidable mental powers."

Golduck (#055) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Golduck 35/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Golduck, while this one is Dark Golduck. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 23 other cards of Golduck list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mitsuhiro Arita. I count 721 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Team Rocket set binder is where a full Team Rocket set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golduck can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards and Team Rocket cards. I still need this card.
