Klang 75/114 · Black & White

Klang is Pokédex #600, generation 5 (Unova). Klang is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Klink. In this catalog that name is Klink (#599). The card lists Klinklang under evolves to.

Klang sits at 75/114 in Black & White, position 75 of 115. Before it is 74 Klink, and after it is 76 Klinklang. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on April 25, 2011. The printed size is 114. This checklist is longer, at 115 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Bind lists 10 damage. The cost is Metal. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Gear Grind is another attack lists 60× damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 60 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "By changing the direction in which it rotates, it communicates its feelings to others. When angry, it rotates faster."

Klang (#600) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Klang 75/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 7 other cards of Klang list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Black & White set binder is where a full Black & White set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Klang can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
