Klang 11/12 · McDonald's Collection 2012

McDonald's Collection 2012 is a set in the Other series. It was released on June 15, 2012. The printed size is 12, and the checklist is the same length. Klang is 11/12, in position 11 of 12 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Scraggy, and after it is 12 Axew.

Klang is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Klang (#600), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Klink. In this catalog that name is Klink (#599). The card lists Klinklang under evolves to.

Kouki Saitou illustrated this card. The same name is on 652 other cards in the catalog.

Klang (#600) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Klang 75/114 in Black & White (2011). Both list 80 HP. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 7 other cards of Klang list a different HP.

The attack Metal Sound lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Guard Press is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to this Pokémon by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Spinning minigears are rotated at high speed and repeatedly fired away. It is dangerous if the gears don't return."

I keep a set binder for McDonald's Collection 2012, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the McDonald's Collection 2012 set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Klang can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
