Ninetales 21/113 · Legendary Treasures

Ninetales is Pokédex #038, generation 1 (Kanto). Ninetales is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Vulpix. In this catalog that name is Vulpix (#037).

Ninetales sits at 21/113 in Legendary Treasures, position 21 of 140. Before it is 20 Vulpix, and after it is 22 Moltres. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on November 6, 2013. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 140 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Color Coordination lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. If this Pokémon has any basic Energy attached to it that is the same type as the Defending Pokémon, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Each of its nine tails is imbued with supernatural power, and it can live for a thousand years."

Ninetales (#038) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 40 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ninetales 12/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Satoshi Shirai illustrated this one. 45 other cards of Ninetales list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Satoshi Shirai. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legendary Treasures set binder is where a full Legendary Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ninetales can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
