Samurott 39/113 · Legendary Treasures

Legendary Treasures is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on November 6, 2013. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 140 cards. Samurott is 39/113, in position 39 of 140 on this checklist. Before it is 38 Dewott, and after it is 40 Tympole. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Samurott is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Samurott (#503), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Dewott. In this catalog that name is Dewott (#502).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Samurott (#503) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Samurott BW22/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). Both list 140 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Samurott list a different HP.

Shell Armor is listed as Ability. Any damage done to this Pokémon by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Hydro Pump lists 70+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Does 10 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Part of the armor on its anterior legs becomes a giant sword. Its cry alone is enough to intimidate most enemies."

I keep a set binder for Legendary Treasures, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Legendary Treasures set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Samurott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
