Zekrom-EX 52/113 · Legendary Treasures

Zekrom is Pokédex #644, generation 5 (Unova). Zekrom-EX is a Basic EX Lightning Pokémon with 180 HP.

Zekrom-EX sits at 52/113 in Legendary Treasures, position 52 of 140. Before it is 51 Zekrom, and after it is 53 Mewtwo. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on November 6, 2013. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 140 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Glinting Claw lists 50+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. Strong Volt is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Zekrom (#644) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Zekrom BW005/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Zekrom, while this one is Zekrom-EX. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 31 other cards of Zekrom list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shizurow. I count 79 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legendary Treasures set binder is where a full Legendary Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Zekrom can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
