Lilligant 14/98 · Emerging Powers

Lilligant is Pokédex #549, generation 5 (Unova). Lilligant is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Petilil. In this catalog that name is Petilil (#548).

Lilligant sits at 14/98 in Emerging Powers, position 14 of 98. Before it is 13 Petilil, and after it is 15 Deerling. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on August 31, 2011. The printed size is 98, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Bemusing Aroma lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed and Poisoned. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Cut is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Even veteran Trainers face a challenge in getting its beautiful flower to bloom. This Pokémon is popular with celebrities."

Lilligant (#549) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Lilligant BW49/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Lilligant list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Emerging Powers set binder is where a full Emerging Powers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lilligant can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
