Lilligant BW49/101 · BW Black Star Promos

BW Black Star Promos is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. Lilligant is BW49/101, in position 49 of 101 on this checklist. Before it is BW48 Altaria, and after it is BW50 Tropical Beach. The listed rarity is Promo.

Lilligant is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lilligant (#549), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Petilil. In this catalog that name is Petilil (#548).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Lilligant (#549) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Lilligant 10/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Lilligant list a different HP.

The attack Lead lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. Dream Dance is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Both this Pokémon and the Defending Pokémon are now Asleep. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Even veteran Trainers face a challenge in getting its beautiful flower to bloom. This Pokémon is popular with celebrities."

I keep a set binder for BW Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BW Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lilligant can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
