Jellicent 35/99 · Next Destinies

Next Destinies is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on February 8, 2012. The printed size is 99. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. Jellicent is 35/99, in position 35 of 103 on this checklist. Before it is 34 Frillish, and after it is 36 Cubchoo. The listed rarity is Rare.

Jellicent is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Jellicent (#593), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Frillish. In this catalog that name is Frillish (#592).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Jellicent (#593) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Jellicent 31/101 in Noble Victories (2011). That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 7 other cards of Jellicent list a different HP.

The attack Vengeful Wish lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. If this Pokémon was damaged by an attack during your opponent's last turn, this attack does the same amount of damage done to the Defending Pokémon. Absorb Life is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "They propel themselves by expelling absorbed seawater from their bodies. Their favorite food is life energy."

I keep a set binder for Next Destinies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Next Destinies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jellicent can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
