Gardevoir 109/108 · Dark Explorers

Gardevoir is Pokédex #282, generation 3 (Hoenn). Gardevoir is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 110 HP. The card says it evolves from Kirlia. In this catalog that name is Kirlia (#281).

Gardevoir sits at 109/108 in Dark Explorers, position 109 of 111. Before it is 108 Tornadus-EX, and after it is 110 Archeops. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 9, 2012. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 108. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Psychic Mirage is listed as Ability. Each basic Psychic Energy attached to your Psychic Pokémon provides PsychicPsychic Energy. You can't apply more than 1 Psychic Mirage Ability at a time. The attack Mind Shock lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This extremely rare Pokémon is a different color than usual. It is very hard to find."

Gardevoir (#282) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 31 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Gardevoir 7/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Secret. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 53 other cards of Gardevoir list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dark Explorers set binder is where a full Dark Explorers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gardevoir can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
