Archeops 110/108 · Dark Explorers

Archeops is Pokédex #567, generation 5 (Unova). Archeops is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Archen. In this catalog that name is Archen (#566).

Archeops sits at 110/108 in Dark Explorers, position 110 of 111. Before it is 109 Gardevoir, and after it is 111 Pokémon Catcher. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 9, 2012. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 108. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Ancient Power is listed as Ability. Each play can't play any Pokémon from his or her hand to evolve his or her Pokémon. The attack Rock Slide lists 60 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Does 10 damage to 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This extremely rare Pokémon is a different color than usual. It is very hard to find."

Archeops (#567) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Archeops 67/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Secret. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 5 other cards of Archeops list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dark Explorers set binder is where a full Dark Explorers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Archeops can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
