Maractus 16/124 · Dragons Exalted

Maractus is Pokédex #556, generation 5 (Unova). Maractus is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 90 HP.

Maractus sits at 16/124 in Dragons Exalted, position 16 of 128. Before it is 15 Roserade, and after it is 17 Foongus. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on August 15, 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Stun Needle lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Reinforced Needle is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. If this Pokémon has a Pokémon Tool card attached to it, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Arid regions are their habitat. They move rhythmically, making a sound similar to maracas."

Maractus (#556) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Maractus 11/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and sui illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Maractus list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads sui. I count 194 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragons Exalted set binder is where a full Dragons Exalted set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Maractus can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
