Mienshao 88/149 · Boundaries Crossed

Mienshao is Pokédex #620, generation 5 (Unova). Mienshao is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Mienfoo. In this catalog that name is Mienfoo (#619).

Mienshao sits at 88/149 in Boundaries Crossed, position 88 of 153. Before it is 87 Mienfoo, and after it is 89 Landorus-EX. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on November 7, 2012. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Knock Off lists 20 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Discard a random card from your opponent's hand. Double Whip is another attack lists 70× damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 70 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Using the long fur on its arms like whips, it launches into combo attacks that, once started, no one can stop."

Mienshao (#620) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Mienshao 70/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Mienshao list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Boundaries Crossed set binder is where a full Boundaries Crossed set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mienshao can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
