Mr. Mime 47/116 · Plasma Freeze

Plasma Freeze is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on May 8, 2013. The printed size is 116. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. Mr. Mime is 47/116, in position 47 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is 46 Muk, and after it is 48 Espeon. The listed rarity is Rare.

Mr. Mime is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mr. Mime (#122), generation 1 (Kanto).

Hiroki Asanuma illustrated this card. The same name is on 9 other cards in the catalog.

Mr. Mime (#122) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 28 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Mr. Mime 6/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hiroki Asanuma illustrated this one. 28 other cards of Mr. Mime list a different HP.

Bench Barrier is listed as Ability. Prevent all damage done to your Benched Pokémon by attacks. The attack Psy Bolt lists 20 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It shapes an invisible wall in midair by minutely vibrating its fingertips to stop molecules in the air."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Freeze, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Freeze set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mr. Mime can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
