Tornadus-EX 98/116 · Plasma Freeze

Plasma Freeze is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on May 8, 2013. The printed size is 116. This checklist is longer, at 122 cards. Tornadus-EX is a Basic EX Team Plasma Colorless Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Tornadus (#641), generation 5 (Unova).

Eske Yoshinob illustrated this card. The same name is on 177 other cards in the catalog.

Tornadus (#641) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Tornadus BW42/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Tornadus, while this one is Tornadus-EX. That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 18 other cards of Tornadus list a different HP.

The attack Windfall lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 6 cards. Jet Blast is another attack lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each Plasma Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Plasma Freeze, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Freeze set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Tornadus can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
