Luxio BW34/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Luxio is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Luxio (#404), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Shinx. In this catalog that name is Shinx (#403). The card lists Luxray, Luxray (#405) under evolves to.

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Luxio (#404) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Luxio 52/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Luxio list a different HP.

The attack Dazzle Blast lists 10 damage. The cost is Lightning. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Random Spark is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 40 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Strong electricity courses through the tips of its sharp claws. A light scratch causes fainting in foes."

I keep a set binder for BW Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BW Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Luxio can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
