White Kyurem BW59/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Kyurem is Pokédex #646, generation 5 (Unova). White Kyurem is a Basic Dragon Pokémon with 130 HP.

White Kyurem sits at BW59/101 in BW Black Star Promos, position 59 of 101. Before it is BW58 Black Kyurem, and after it is BW60 Keldeo. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Damage Rush lists 20× damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads. Cold Fire is another attack lists 80+ damage. The cost is Fire, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This legendary ice Pokémon waits for a hero to fill in the missing parts of its body with truth or ideals."

Kyurem (#646) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Kyurem-EX BW37/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Kyurem-EX, while this one is White Kyurem. That card lists 180 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 32 other cards of Kyurem list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BW Black Star Promos set binder is where a full BW Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kyurem can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
