Keldeo-EX BW61/101 · BW Black Star Promos

BW Black Star Promos is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. Keldeo-EX is BW61/101, in position 61 of 101 on this checklist. Before it is BW60 Keldeo, and after it is BW62 Black Kyurem-EX. The listed rarity is Promo.

Keldeo-EX is a Basic EX Water Pokémon with 170 HP. In the Pokédex this is Keldeo (#647), generation 5 (Unova).

Toyste Beach illustrated this card. The same name is on 284 other cards in the catalog.

Keldeo (#647) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Keldeo BW60/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Keldeo, while this one is Keldeo-EX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Toyste Beach illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 15 other cards of Keldeo list a different HP.

Rush In is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is on your Bench, you may switch this Pokémon with your Active Pokémon. The attack Secret Sword lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Does 20 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for BW Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BW Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Keldeo can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
