Espeon BW92/101 · BW Black Star Promos

BW Black Star Promos is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. Espeon is BW92/101, in position 92 of 101 on this checklist. Before it is BW91 Jolteon, and after it is BW93 Umbreon. The listed rarity is Promo.

Espeon is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Espeon (#196), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

The Pokémon Company Art Team illustrated this card. The same name is on 15 other cards in the catalog.

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and The Pokémon Company Art Team illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

Solar Revelation is listed as Ability. Prevent all effects of your opponent's attacks, except damage, done to each of your Pokémon that has any Energy attached to it. The attack Psy Report lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent reveals his or her hand. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its fur is so sensitive, it can sense minute shifts in the air and predict the weather."

I keep a set binder for BW Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BW Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
