Umbreon ★ 17/25 · Celebrations: Classic Collection

Umbreon is Pokédex #197, generation 2 (Johto). Umbreon ★ is a Basic Star Darkness Pokémon with 70 HP.

Umbreon ★ sits at 17/25 in Celebrations: Classic Collection, position 6 of 22. Before it is 15 Claydol, and after it is 20 Cleffa. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on October 8, 2021. The printed size is 25. This checklist is longer, at 22 cards. The listed rarity is Classic Collection.

Dark Ray is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn, when you put Umbreon Star from your hand onto your Bench, you may choose 1 card from your opponent's hand without looking and discard it. The attack Feint Attack lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness, Darkness. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokémon. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on that Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: You can't have more than 1 Pokémon Star in your deck.

Umbreon (#197) has 45 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Umbreon 13/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Umbreon, while this one is Umbreon ★. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Classic Collection. Kimiya Masago illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 40 other cards of Umbreon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celebrations: Classic Collection set binder is where a full Celebrations: Classic Collection set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Umbreon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
