Umbreon 32/144 · Skyridge

Skyridge is a set in the E-Card series. It was released on May 12, 2003. The printed size is 144. This checklist is longer, at 182 cards. Umbreon is 32/144, in position 32 of 182 on this checklist. Before it is 31 Steelix, and after it is 33 Vaporeon. The listed rarity is Rare.

Umbreon is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Umbreon (#197), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Umbreon (#197) has 45 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Umbreon 13/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Kimiya Masago illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. 40 other cards of Umbreon list a different HP.

Dark Gaze is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Umbreon is your Active Pokémon, Benched Pokémon (yours and your opponent's) can't use Poké-Powers. The attack Sharp Claws lists 10+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Skyridge, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Skyridge set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Umbreon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
