Lugia 15/95 · Call of Legends

Call of Legends is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 9, 2011. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Lugia is 15/95, in position 15 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 14 Lucario, and after it is 16 Magmortar. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Lugia is a Basic Water Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lugia (#249), generation 2 (Johto).

Ryo Ueda illustrated this card. The same name is on 462 other cards in the catalog.

Lugia (#249) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lugia 9/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 36 other cards of Lugia list a different HP.

The attack Linear Attack lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Hydro Splash is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It is said to be the guardian of the seas. It is rumored to have been seen on the night of a storm."

I keep a set binder for Call of Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Call of Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lugia can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
