Team Aqua's Walrein 5/34 · Double Crisis

Double Crisis is a set in the XY series. It was released on March 25, 2015. The printed size is 34, and the checklist is the same length. Team Aqua's Walrein is 5/34, in position 5 of 34 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Team Aqua's Sealeo, and after it is 6 Team Aqua's Kyogre-EX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Team Aqua's Walrein is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Walrein (#365), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Team Aqua's Sealeo. In this catalog that name is Sealeo (#364).

Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this card. The same name is on 155 other cards in the catalog.

Walrein (#365) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2024. The earliest other card is Team Aqua's Walrein 6/95 in Team Magma vs Team Aqua (2004). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Ikuji illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 4. 10 other cards of Walrein list a different HP.

The attack Power Blow lists 30× damage. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 30 damage times the amount of Energy attached to this Pokémon. Dual Blizzard is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Colorless. Discard 2 Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. This attack does 80 damage to 2 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It's good at attacks that freeze opponents with a powerful cold snap. Then, it pulverizes a frozen foe with its sharp tusks!"

I keep a set binder for Double Crisis, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Double Crisis set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Walrein can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon and Team Aqua and Team Magma. I still need this card.
