Dewgong 45/123 · Mysterious Treasures

Mysterious Treasures is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on August 1, 2007. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. Dewgong is 45/123, in position 45 of 124 on this checklist. Before it is 44 Croconaw, and after it is 46 Dodrio. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Dewgong is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 36. In the Pokédex this is Dewgong (#087), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Seel. In this catalog that name is Seel (#086).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Dewgong (#087) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Dewgong 25/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 18 other cards of Dewgong list a different HP.

Cold Fat is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Dewgong is Asleep, any damage done to Dewgong by attacks is reduced by 40 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Collapse lists 60 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Dewgong is now Asleep. Weakness is Metal +20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "In snow, the pure white coat covering its body obscures it from predators."

I keep a set binder for Mysterious Treasures, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Mysterious Treasures set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dewgong can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
