Qwilfish 101/132 · Secret Wonders

Secret Wonders is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2007. The printed size is 132, and the checklist is the same length. Qwilfish is 101/132, in position 101 of 132 on this checklist. Before it is 100 Psyduck, and after it is 102 Ralts. The listed rarity is Common.

Qwilfish is a Basic Water Pokémon with 70 HP. The card lists level 31. In the Pokédex this is Qwilfish (#211), generation 2 (Johto).

Kenkichi Toyama illustrated this card. The same name is on 6 other cards in the catalog.

Qwilfish (#211) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Qwilfish 49/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Common. Sumiyoshi Kizuki illustrated that card, and Kenkichi Toyama illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Qwilfish list a different HP.

Balloon Sting is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your opponent's turn, if Qwilfish is your Active Pokémon and is damage by an attack (even if Qwilfish is Knocked Out), you may flip a coin. If heads, the Attacking Pokémon is now Poisoned. Put 2 damage counters instead of 1 on that Pokémon between turns. The attack Nerve Shot lists 20 damage. The cost is Water, Water. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Weakness is Lightning +20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It shoots the poison spines on its body in all directions. Its round form makes it a poor swimmer."

I keep a set binder for Secret Wonders, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Secret Wonders set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Qwilfish can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
