Qwilfish 21/73 · Shining Legends

Shining Legends is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on October 6, 2017. The printed size is 73. This checklist is longer, at 81 cards. Qwilfish is 21/73, in position 22 of 81 on this checklist. Before it is 20 Feraligatr, and after it is 22 Buizel. The listed rarity is Common.

Qwilfish is a Basic Water Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Qwilfish (#211), generation 2 (Johto).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Qwilfish (#211) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Qwilfish 49/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Common. Sumiyoshi Kizuki illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Qwilfish list a different HP.

The attack Poison Sting lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Shocking Sting is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Water, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, this attack does 50 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "To fire its poison spikes, it must inflate its body by drinking over 2.6 gallons of water all at once."

I keep a set binder for Shining Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Qwilfish can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
