Espeon 18/100 · Majestic Dawn

Espeon is Pokédex #196, generation 2 (Johto). Espeon is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 44. The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Espeon sits at 18/100 in Majestic Dawn, position 18 of 100. Before it is 17 Empoleon, and after it is 19 Flareon. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2008. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

Sunlight Veil is listed as Poké-Body. Each of your Pokémon that evolves from Eevee gets +20 HP. You can't use more than 1 Sunlight Veil Poké-Body each turn. The attack Morning Sun lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. You may move an Energy card attached to Espeon to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic +20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its fur has the look and feel of velvet. The orb on its forehead glows when it uses psycho-power."

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoyo Kimura. I count 256 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Majestic Dawn set binder is where a full Majestic Dawn set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
