Mewtwo 9/100 · Majestic Dawn

Mewtwo is Pokédex #150, generation 1 (Kanto). Mewtwo is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card lists level 51.

Mewtwo sits at 9/100 in Majestic Dawn, position 9 of 100. Before it is 8 Manaphy, and after it is 10 Moltres. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2008. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Energy Absorption lists no damage number. Search your discard pile for up to 2 Energy cards and attach them to Mewtwo. Recover is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Discard a Psychic Energy attached to Mewtwo and remove 6 damage counters from Mewtwo. Psyburn is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "A Pokémon created by recombining Mew's genes. It's said to have the most savage heart among Pokémon."

Mewtwo (#150) has 88 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 41 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mewtwo 10/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kent Kanetsuna illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 88 other cards of Mewtwo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kent Kanetsuna. I count 74 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Majestic Dawn set binder is where a full Majestic Dawn set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mewtwo can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
