Hitmontop 101/146 · Legends Awakened

Hitmontop is Pokédex #237, generation 2 (Johto). Hitmontop is a Basic Fighting Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 25.

Hitmontop sits at 101/146 in Legends Awakened, position 101 of 146. Before it is 100 Hitmonlee, and after it is 102 Horsea. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on August 1, 2008. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Triple Kick lists 20× damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads. Gut Spin is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. If Tyrogue is anywhere under Hitmontop, you may switch Hitmontop with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic +20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It fights while spinning like a top. The centrifugal force boosts its destructive power by ten."

Hitmontop (#237) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Hitmontop 37/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Common. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Hitmontop list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legends Awakened set binder is where a full Legends Awakened set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hitmontop can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
