Dusknoir 17/100 · Stormfront

Stormfront is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2008. The printed size is 100. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Dusknoir is 17/100, in position 17 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 16 Drifblim, and after it is 18 Gengar. The listed rarity is Rare.

Dusknoir is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP. The card lists level 47. In the Pokédex this is Dusknoir (#477), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Dusclops. In this catalog that name is Dusclops (#356).

Tomoaki Imakuni illustrated this card. The same name is on 13 other cards in the catalog.

Dusknoir (#477) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Dusknoir 2/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Takabon illustrated that card, and Tomoaki Imakuni illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 15 other cards of Dusknoir list a different HP.

Spirit Pulse is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Dusknoir is your Active Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokémon that has any Energy attached to it between turns. The attack Darkness Mist lists 60+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon already has 2 or more damage counters on it, this attack does 60 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Darkness +30. Resistance is Colorless -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "The antenna on its head captures radio waves from the world of spirits that command it to take people there."

I keep a set binder for Stormfront, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stormfront set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dusknoir can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
