Mewtwo 56/165 · Expedition Base Set

Expedition Base Set is a set in the E-Card series. It was released on September 15, 2002. The printed size is 165, and the checklist is the same length. Mewtwo is 56/165, in position 56 of 165 on this checklist. Before it is 55 Mew, and after it is 57 Ninetales. The listed rarity is Rare.

Mewtwo is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mewtwo (#150), generation 1 (Kanto).

Kimiya Masago illustrated this card. The same name is on 24 other cards in the catalog.

Mewtwo (#150) has 88 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 42 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mewtwo 10/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kimiya Masago illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 80 other cards of Mewtwo list a different HP.

The attack Hypnosis lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Psychic is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. This attack does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Expedition Base Set, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Expedition Base Set set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mewtwo can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
