Kingdra 19/147 · Aquapolis

Aquapolis is a set in the E-Card series. It was released on January 15, 2003. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 182 cards. Kingdra is 19/147, in position 19 of 182 on this checklist. Before it is 18 Jynx, and after it is 20 Lanturn. The listed rarity is Rare.

Kingdra is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Kingdra (#230), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Seadra. In this catalog that name is Seadra (#117).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Kingdra (#230) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Kingdra 8/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 26 other cards of Kingdra list a different HP.

Water Cyclone is listed as Poké-Power. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Water Energy card from your Active Pokémon to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. This power can't be used if Kingdra is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Rapids lists 50 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, discard 1 Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon, if any. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 3.

I keep a set binder for Aquapolis, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Aquapolis set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kingdra can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
