Kingdra 12/109 · Team Rocket Returns

Team Rocket Returns is a set in the EX series. It was released on November 1, 2004. The printed size is 109. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. Kingdra is 12/109, in position 12 of 111 on this checklist. Before it is 11 Jumpluff, and after it is 13 Piloswine. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Kingdra is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Kingdra (#230), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Seadra. In this catalog that name is Seadra (#117).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Kingdra (#230) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Kingdra 8/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 26 other cards of Kingdra list a different HP.

Dragon Veil is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Kingdra is in play, each of your Active Pokémon has no Weakness. The attack Hyper Whirlpool lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin until you get tails. For each heads, discard an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon. Aqua Sonic is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage is not affected by Resistance. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Team Rocket Returns, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Team Rocket Returns set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kingdra can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
