Unseen Forces is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2005. The printed size is 115. This checklist is longer, at 145 cards. Tyranitar ex is a Stage 2 ex Darkness Pokémon with 160 HP. In the Pokédex this is Tyranitar (#248), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Pupitar. In this catalog that name is Pupitar (#247).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Tyranitar (#248) has 47 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 29 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Tyranitar 12/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Tyranitar, while this one is Tyranitar ex. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 44 other cards of Tyranitar list a different HP.

The attack Shatter lists 30 damage. The cost is Fighting. Discard any Stadium card in play. Derail is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Discard a Special Energy card, if any, attached to the Defending Pokémon. Mix-Up is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Fighting, Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent discards the top card of his or her deck. Losing Control is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Fighting, Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Discard the top 3 cards of your deck. Weakness is Grass ×2 and Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Unseen Forces, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Unseen Forces set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Tyranitar can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
