Pupitar 58/101 · Dragon Frontiers

Pupitar is Pokédex #247, generation 2 (Johto). Pupitar is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Larvitar. In this catalog that name is Larvitar (#246). The card lists Tyranitar, Tyranitar (#248) under evolves to.

Pupitar sits at 58/101 in Dragon Frontiers, position 58 of 101. Before it is 57 Nidoran ♂ δ, and after it is 59 Pupitar δ. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on November 1, 2006. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Common.

The attack Headbutt lists 20 damage. The cost is Fighting. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Pupitar (#247) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2025. The earliest other card is Pupitar 45/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Common. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Yukiko Baba illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Pupitar list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yukiko Baba. I count 151 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Frontiers set binder is where a full Dragon Frontiers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pupitar can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
