Blaziken 5/108 · Power Keepers

Power Keepers is a set in the EX series. It was released on February 2, 2007. The printed size is 108, and the checklist is the same length. Blaziken is 5/108, in position 5 of 108 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Banette, and after it is 6 Charizard. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Blaziken is a Stage 2 Fire Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Blaziken (#257), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Combusken. In this catalog that name is Combusken (#256).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Blaziken (#257) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Blaziken 3/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 29 other cards of Blaziken list a different HP.

Firestarter is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a Fire Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. This power can't be used if Blaziken is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Fire Stream lists 50 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. Discard a Fire Energy card attached to Blaziken. This attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Power Keepers, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Power Keepers set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Blaziken can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
